Medical Dermatology
Medical Dermatology Services
Our medical dermatology practice is built on thorough diagnosis and individualized treatment. Dr. Paltiel and his clinical team evaluate and manage a wide range of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
- Acne and Rosacea: We treat acne at every stage, from mild breakouts in teenagers to persistent adult acne and rosacea. Treatment plans may include topical therapies, oral medications, hormonal management, or in-office procedures depending on severity and history.
- Eczema and Psoriasis: Chronic inflammatory conditions like eczema and psoriasis require ongoing management. Our providers develop long-term strategies that combine prescription treatments, lifestyle adjustments, and regular monitoring to keep flare-ups under control and maintain skin comfort.
- Skin Cancer Screening and Mohs Surgery: Annual skin cancer screenings are one of the most important appointments you can make. Dr. Paltiel performs full-body skin exams and, when necessary, biopsies suspicious lesions on-site. For confirmed skin cancers, our practice offers Mohs micrographic surgery, a tissue-sparing technique with the highest cure rate available, performed right here in our Forest Hills office.
- Pediatric Dermatology: Children experience a unique set of skin conditions, including birthmarks, childhood eczema, molluscum contagiosum, warts, and adolescent acne. Our providers are experienced in working with younger patients and creating treatment plans that account for a child’s developing skin.
Warts, Moles, and Rashes: From common viral warts to atypical moles that require evaluation, our team uses a methodical approach to diagnosis and treatment. We also evaluate rashes of all types, working to identify root causes and provide effective relief.
Cosmetic Dermatology
Cosmetic and Aesthetic Treatments
Our Forest Hills office provides a broad range of cosmetic services designed to help patients look and feel their best without traveling into Manhattan. Our providers bring clinical training and an eye for natural results to every treatment.
- Botox: Smooth forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet with precise Botox injections. We also use Botox therapeutically for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Dr. Paltiel and our team focus on subtle, natural-looking results.
- Dermal Fillers: Restore lost volume in the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and jawline using hyaluronic acid fillers. Our providers assess your facial structure to recommend a treatment approach that enhances your features while maintaining balance.
- Microneedling with PRP: Stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, fine lines, and acne scarring. Treatments can be combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for enhanced rejuvenation with minimal downtime.
- CoolSculpting: Reduce stubborn fat in the chin, abdomen, flanks, arms, and thighs without surgery. CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to permanently destroy fat cells, with results developing gradually over several weeks.
- Emsculpt: Build muscle and reduce fat simultaneously using high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy. Emsculpt is commonly used on the abdomen and buttocks for body contouring without incisions or recovery time.
- Chemical Peels: Improve skin tone, reduce hyperpigmentation, and smooth texture with medical-grade chemical peels customized to your skin type and goals.
- Skin Lasers: Address sun damage, vascular lesions, pigmentation irregularities, and skin laxity with our laser treatment options.
Facials: Our licensed aesthetician, Irma Meni, provides professional facials tailored to your skin’s needs, from deep-cleansing treatments to hydrating and anti-aging protocols.
